Guelph Spoken Word is proud to announce the creation of its new annual spoken word event, the ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL POETRY SLAM! This all-day performance poetry competition is unlike any other in the world, featuring top-notch local and international talent, a professional two-stage venue at the River Run Centre, edgy new custom performance rules, and the BIGGEST CASH PRIZES in open slam history!

TOTAL PRIZE POOL: $10,000
FIRST PLACE PRIZE: $6,000

This massive poetry slam is an all-day event at Guelph's signature performing arts centre, the River Run Centre. Your ticket is your full-access pass to events throughout the day:

• doors open @ 10 AM
• preliminary bouts 1 & 2 run concurrently @ 11 AM
• 45-minute break
• preliminary bouts 3 & 4 run concurrently @ 1:30 PM
• 45-minute break
• preliminary bouts 5 & 6 run concurrently @ 4 PM
• two-hour break
• the finals @ 8 PM on the Main Stage
