For our August meetup, we will have three presentations/demos.
Ben Glazer will demo Sikuli (http://sikuli.org/), which is a way to automate and test GUIs using screenshots. Â You can control both web pages and native applications via the Jython-based scripting API.
Norman Harman will talk about Plumbum (http://plumbum.readthedocs.org), which is a neat way to write shell scripts and script various Unix commands using Python.
Finally, Travis Oliphant will talk about the recently-resurrected LLVM-py project (http://www.llvmpy.org/), and show how you can build native machine code binaries programmatically from Python.
Afterwards, we will have our typical socialization at the Tribune, and if we run out of beer and there is enough interest, we can move the discussions to a nearby bar.
See you all on Wednesday!
