This time we'll hear an amazing story - The launching of Satisfly, a B2B startup targeting global and mostly unprofitable corporations, by Sergio Mello, CEO of SATISFLY www.satisfly.com - your ideal seat buddy.

In 2008, while the "social networks" were reaching a global scale, Satisfly was launching an intelligent seating assignment product for airlines. Within one year, a rapid succession of high fuel prices and global financial meltdown caused havoc in the industry, leaving no profitable airline standing.

As the years passed, Satisfly's founders persisted in their vision and kept chasing a pilot project deal. While many prospects were showing interest, every one was waiting for someone else to make the first move.

Finally in June 2012, amidst a cost cutting exercise, airBaltic showed character by adopting Satisfly's technology for their branded SeatBuddy product.

On meetup, Sergio will share his experience about entering a loss-making and risk-averse airline industry by laying a sufficiently long take off runway.

Viesturs Dūle will tell about his startup Tahions working on "Digital learning apps for learning school stuff through games with immersion". In year 2012 they are delivering 10 such apps in 5 languages.

And our special guest Maja Brisvall from SHIFT!

Shift is an accelerator with mentoring program for businesses working on progressive systemic change. They coach entrepreneurs in developing their business, presenting their companies, networking, and engaging in a framework around resilience thinking. They encourage their participants to develop business logic that drives behavioral change, and use rapid prototyping.
