Join us this Friday, August 10th, in celebrating all things Riverfest and the opening of the new green space at the corner of Mill and Metcalfe Sts. downtown Elora with RIVERFEST: The Prequel, a free concert featuring The Potion Kings with Kevin Breit (fresh from touring with Hugh Laurie in Europe), Howie Southwood and Randall Coryell as well as members of The Boo Radley Project, who will be playing the Tree Stage at this year's Riverfest. The prequel event will run from 4:30 to 6pm.

The event is in celebration of Riverfest 2012, being held Saturday, August 25 in Bissell Park, rain or shine. Tickets for Riverfest 2012 will be on sale during the prequel event. Riverfest 2012 features alt-country headliners Cuff the Duke, indie-rockers The Wooden Sky, Celtic guitar legend Tony McManus, singer-songwriter Lisa Bozikovic, alt-funk six-piece The Boo Radley Project, songstress Karis Tees and featured performers from the Elora Acoustic Cafe. Doors open at 4:30pm on the 25th, performances run from 5pm until 11:30pm.

Be sure to come on down to the new greenspace at Mill and Metcalfe, downtown Elora, this Friday between 4:30 and 6PM to celebrate Riverfest and get your tickets for this year's event! Tickets for Riverfest 2012 are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and $5 for children 10 and under, available at the door.
