If you missed last month's SLAM, you missed out. This month, the SLAM promises to be even more intense. The level of creativity is fierce, so you will not be disappointed. I am proud of the poets who brave the SLAM because they bring it. This is where seripous poets step to the fore front to show the community just how far poetry can go.
For those of you wishing to enter the SLAM:
1. You must sign up prior to the SLAM beginning
2. You must be prepared to compete for at least three rounds of competition and have an encore piece (if necessary)
3. The SLAM is limited to the first ten Poets to sign up. All poets must be present at the beginning of the SLAM.
I shouldn't have to say this, but I will:
THIS IS NOT AN OPEN MIC - I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT AN OPEN MIC.
If you are not SLAMMING, you are not performing that night unless you are a booked special guest...

Hosted by Lenny Twin with DJ Hollywood on the tables, our SLAMs are like no other. Join us August 16th, live at the House of Bricks (525 East Grand). Doors open at 6:30PM. The cost: $5 at the door.
This is an all-ages event, so young poets are welcome.
Please direct any questions by email to: saywhatpoetry@yahoo.com . I look foward to seeing you all there. Feel free to forward to family, friends, or anyone you think might need a night to be free to be themselves. Please note: This is an all ages event. PEACE
-Lenny
