About Project Open Hand:
Project Open Hand provides meals/groceries for people with symptomatic HIV/AIDS or breast cancer, meals for homebound/critically ill people under the age of 60 and congregate lunches for people over 60 years of age in San Francisco and Alameda counties. At Project Open Hand, the goal is to feed the body, mind, and soul, through healthy food prepared and delivered with love, by dedicated staff and volunteers. Project Open Hand is a leader in the local food justice movement by rolling up their sleeves, cooking meals, and distributing groceries to make sure that our ill and elderly neighbors have access to the food they need.
