Perhaps you’ve already heard? Gray Area Foundation for the Arts (GAFFTA) is teaming up with Intersection for the Arts and the SF Mayor's Office of Civic Innovation to produce our latest initiative, Urban Prototyping: San Francisco.
We have been getting a lot of interest and great questions in response to the festival and the open call. Let’s discuss!
Join us at Intersection for the Arts for an open house this Tuesday, August 14. We’ll enjoy some drinks, brainstorm ideas, and talk about how you can get involved. In the meantime, please check out the UP website (http://sf.urbanprototyping.org/) for more information and spread the word!
If you're passionate about how design, art, and technology can change cities and communities, you won't want to miss this.
// About UP San Francisco
UP: SF is a design and technology festival focusing on replicable digital and physical urban interventions that explore new possibilities in public space. Every project produced will be open source, publicly documented, and replicable in any city in the world.
Projects will be created through two ways: an open call for submissions where teams work for 2 months together on a project; and a weekend makeathon, where new prototypes are built in 48 hours. All of the projects will be showcased at our Street Exposition in October in downtown San Francisco.
