HTBM Con is our attempt to do away with the same, tired ol' coimc and game shows that pass through Austin. No longer does a comic show equal just a bunch of hardcore veterans digging through dusty boxes while their significant others stand around uncomfortably.

HTBM Con takes the full convention experience (think the Austin Con), miniaturizes it and adds its own unique twist. For starters, we are meeting up at the ND downtown. (www.ndvenue.com) This great Austin venue has a full bar and delicious grub provided by Tamale Molly. We also have great programming lined up already. Here are the official presenters:

*Kelly Roman and Michael DeWeese will be presenting their graphic novel "The Art of War". I challenge you to read the sample pages on their website and not puke with joy.

* Short Indies will be on hand to massage your eyeballs with some of the best indie films that the sci-fi/superhero/fantasy genre has to offer. Have you ever seen a Thumb Snatcher from the Moon-Cocoon? You need to.

*Inner Kingdom games will be giving free demonstrations of their entire game line-up. In fact, if you are fifteen or under and demo at least three different games, we'll partially refund your entry fee so that you can spend it on comics and games.

And these are just the guests we can tell you about. We have several BIG names that we are in talks with, and as soon as something is official, we'll announce it on our Facebook page.

And of course, there will be tons of comics and games to buy. In fact, if you are a comic artist, author, or just a collector with a giant collection what needs prunin', we would be happy to rent you a table. Dealer tables are only $30. If you are an indie author/artist, drop us a line and we can work something out.

Tickets are $5 at the door, and doors open at noon and stay open until 6:00 pm.
