Chris has been writing mobile software in various forms since 2003. He was involved in several large-scale Brew projects, from MMS messaging to Major League Baseball. He was an early Android engineer behind the doubleTwist media player and is now the lead Android developer for Tumblr. Heâs recently published Creating Android Applications with PeachPit press.
John Payne, Founding Partner at Moment Design
John Payne is Principal of Experience Design at Moment, a company he co-founded 10 years ago. John brings a passion for research and design methodologies to his teams, helping teams gain the empathy necessary to create great products for clients, most recently in the areas of healthcare and education.
Outside of Moment, John teaches in the Strategic Design and Management graduate program at Parsons The New School For Design and is this year's Co-chair of EPIC 2012, a global conference on Business Ethnography to be held in October at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Educated at Auburn University and the Institute of Design at IIT, John has, over the course of his 20+ year career, focused on designing innovative physical and digital products that break down the boundaries between software and hardware.
Mike Rizkalla, Principle/Co-founder at Raised Media
Mike Rizkalla is an award-winning musician, director, motion graphics and user experience designer.
Mike's greatest ability is creating captivating stories that empower and capture audiences. He finds innovative ways to broadcast these stories by leveraging his life experience, 15+ years of expertise in technology and his love for music, art and culture. Early on in his career he helped defined the transition from the real world to digitial for many fortune 50 companies and is thought of as a innovator and thought leader in the digital space.
On a side note, throughout Mikeâs music career he has performed with artists such as: Green Day, Filter, Bad Religion, Hot Water Music, Slayer, Damage Plan, DOA, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Fishbone, Finger Eleven, Our Lady Peace, and Gob.
