We know you are counting down to days to see Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. That’s why you should join us for a premier screening of Madagascar 3 on Thursday 13 September.
You might have heard that in mid September, as part of the Repower Port Augusta campaign, hundreds of people are undertaking a momentous walk from the small town of Port Augusta to Adelaide. Including us here at AYCC NSW!
Port Augusta is home to two old coal-fired plants, which will be shut down soon. The South Australian government is now faced with a choice. They can either replace the coal plants with Australia’s very first solar thermal plant, or a plant that burns polluting gas.
Solar is where it’s at, yeh? But to get this solar plant, we still need the support of the South Australian Premier, Jay Weatherill. That’s why will be walking to deliver the tens of thousands we collect from our national Youth Decide campaign to deliver a petition to Premier Weatherill’s door.
Getting to Port Augusta won’t be easy or cheap. We need your help getting there. We are holding this kicking fundraiser to help get us to Port Augusta. Take a trip back to the golden age of Hollywood with an evening at the historic Randwick Ritz.
