Early reviews:
"This was a great film with equal parts action, drama, comedy and sentiment. This reviewer smells a cult following for “THE LACKEY.”
"The Lackey starts with a Reservoir Dogs feel, then pours in some Guy Ritchie narration, adds a healthy dose of Martial Arts, and then serves you with such a well polished rawness that you quickly forget you are watching a "low budget" Indie Film."
"The writing is spot on with a mixture of wit, heart and believability. The fight scenes feel natural and are choreographed to feel spontaneous.”
“The cast was believable… effort went into finding character actors and not just good looking people to fill roles. Often times indie films stray from action and high-impact special effects because of budget constraints but "The Lackey" bull-dozed through that stereotype with great fighting sequences, gun play and explosions.”
"The film's director and lead, Shaun Piccinino stars as Jude St. Clere and is sure to make waves in the industry with his head turning performance, rustic looks and some of the most intense eyes to grace the silver screen in years. Other cast members include Australian film icon Vernon Wells, most famously from "Mad Max 2: Road Warrior", who plays a villain in The Lackey."
"This film is heading to the future memories of film lovers and to the film industry's vault of great independent film stories. It's fun to think how many careers will be launched into the movie stratosphere by a film with this much (bloody) heart."
