PECHA KUCHA @ STEDELIJK - SEPTEMBER 13, 2012, 9 – 11 PM

The Stedelijk Museum and Pecha Kucha Amsterdam proudly present a special edition of the Pecha Kucha night, about the museum of the future!
Pecha Kucha Night is a trendsetting event that offers everybody the chance to present fresh and creative work, ideas, or concepts. This can be a newly finished building, a new piece of furniture, an ad campaign, a fashion line, a new event, or any idea the world needs to know about.
The Pecha Kucha Night was conceived in Tokyo in 2003 by Klein-Dytham Architecture as an evening for their club SuperDeluxe. Since then, this potent cross between an elevator pitch and a slide show has spread around the globe. At a Pecha Kucha Night, about a dozen participants all present 20 slides for 20 seconds each. The Pecha Kucha format arrived in Amsterdam in 2006, occupying different venues and moving through the city (not unlike the Stedelijk!).
Now, six years later, Pecha Kucha comes to the Stedelijk for a special edition about the museum of the future. Designers, artists, architects, philosophers, and many other professionals will share their perspective on how the Stedelijk of the future should look like, only a few days before the doors open.
