We have been working on a lineup to eclipse anything we have done before and yes, its still FREE!
Dub Pistols headline with a live set of classics and new material from latest album ‘Worshipping the Dollar’. Super cute French multi-instrumentalist folk trio We Were Evergreen promise an eclectic and sublime performance. Legendary acid house and techno DJ & co-founder of Altern8 – Mark Archer hosts a glo-in-the-dark neon ‘90s ping pong rave. A tongue-twisting genius back-to-the‐old‐school party that will go OFF in our banging basement.
The Bikini Beach Band pump out instrumental cover versions of all your favourite pop tunes in their own inimitable surf‐ noir, laid‐back rock’n’roll style. Upcoming DJ collective Fleetmac Wood caused a stir recently with their first party, and for Bookstock they’re promising a block-rocking Fleetwood Mac party of enormous proportions. Chupacabra DJs offer a little of everything, from drum’n’bass to house, via electro swing. Compere for the day is DJ and blogger Reverend Milo Speedwagon. And there’s lots more still to come!
Celebrate the last bank holiday of 2012 with a whole day dedicated to music, dancing, dressing up, games, great food and flowing booze – and a whole lot of festival fun besides.
FAQs
Can we bring our own food and drink to the site?
There will be delicious food and drink-a-plenty sold by The Book Club, Bukowski Grill and Mussel Men. Food and beverages brought from outside will not be allowed on site.
Entry policy?
There is zero tolerance of drugs and illegal substances. BAGS WILL BE SEARCHED ON ENTRY.
Do I need a wristband to get in?
No, those with wristbands will have priority entry but there will be another queue for people who don't have wristbands. It may take a lot longer to get in without one but we will do our best to get everyone in as quickly as possible.
Can I pick up more than one wristband?
Yes you can collect up six per person.
Can wristbands be reserved or sent in the post?
No, the only way to get wristbands is to come to The Book Club and collect them. Please don't ask us to reserve them and or to send them in the post as we won't be able to do so. We would love to be able to help with these requests but as it's a free party we just don't have to resources to do so.
Can we bring our little ones?
Yes, of course. Little people are more than welcome to come along and enjoy the day with you. However, please be aware that the event will be busy and there will be loud music so bring appropriate restraints and ear defenders.
Are pets allowed?
This is a family-friendly event, but unfortunately this time we cannot admit pets.
What time will the gates open?
The gates will open at 12pm and outside curfew is at 8pm, subject to capacity.
Is there re-admittance?
As it is a FREE event and we want as many people to join in the fun as possible, you will have to go to the back of the queue for re-admission. We do however offer cash back at the bar and there are plenty of loos so we've got all bases covered!
Are there more toilets this time?
Yes, there are additional toilets outside so less queueing and more dancing!
Is there a cash machine on site?
No, but you can get cash back at the bar, so no treks to the cash machine. The bars will be busy though, so please bring cash with you if you can.
Is there wheelchair access?
The main site is wheelchair accessible with a disabled access toilet at the main stage arena.
Is there a fancy dress theme?
No theme – just dress up!
Can I bring my camera?
Of course, snap away!
What happens at 8pm when the main stage close?
We quite simply move the party inside at The Book Club. Entry will be FREE until 9pm and then a £5 door charge til 2am.
How can I get involved?
