We're thrilled to invite you to the Haiti Partners Bridges Benefit, an evening celebrating the work of Haiti Partners. As you may know, we've been passionate about supporting work in Haiti for many years. Jesse's brother, John, has lived and worked in Haiti since 1991 and co-founded Haiti Partners in 2009. Haiti Partners is helping Haitiains change Haiti through education.
We're eager to connect with other current (and prospective) Haiti Partners supporters in the bay area!
Right now is an incredible time to get involved. The first phase of the Haiti Partners Children's Academy and Learning Center will be completed in September and the inaugural class of twenty-five 4 year olds will begin school there. These kids live in a rural community called Baocia and would otherwise not have access to a decent education. Only 50% of Haitian kids go to school and only 1% graduate from high school. There is an amazing opportunity to connect personally with these kids and see that they are able to break the cycle of poverty in their community. The Children's Academy is just part of the Haiti Partners comprehensive vision for impacting education in Haiti. The program scales with a network of partner schools, which become self-reliant over time through social enterprises set up to fund the schools' operating budget.
We have visited Haiti many times and have taken each of our sons. It's important to us that they experience first-hand how far too many people on this planet live on a daily basis. The majority of Haitians live on less then two dollars a day. Visiting Haiti has expanded our sons' worldview and made them more compassionate.
We're eager for you to meet John Engle and Kent Annan, co-directors of Haiti Partners; members of Haiti Partners staff, both from the US and Haiti, Christa Brelsford, a dynamic student who lost her leg in the 2010 earthquake; and our partners Grameen Creative Lab, BAR Architects and Architecture for Humanity. You'll also be treated to the music of Rosemond Jolissaint and enjoy Haitian food and drink.
We invite you to join us. Come learn more about the work of Haiti Partners and see how you might get involved.
You can register online here:

Hope you can join us!
Best,
