2012 RACE Features
The 2012 race features 5 split chip timing and a post-race party with refreshments, beer garden, live entertainment and an awards ceremony. ALL PARTICPANTS WILL RECEIVE A TECHNICAL T-SHIRT AND VIRTUAL GOODIE BAG. All participants will receive a finisher medal. Awards to the top three finishers in each category. (top five for large divisions) Points for the KOZ Multisport Points Series (triathlon only) to the top 10 individual finishers in division categories.

500 Meter Swim, 15K Bike, 5K Run
The Swim
A 500 meter point-to-point swim in a protected and calm are of Mission Bay. There will be multiple wave starts that will be set 5-10 minutes apart. The wave start times that will be posted are APPROXIMATE times. Wave starts may be early or delayed. Please make sure to be at the swim start at least 20 minutes prior to your approximate wave start time.Times will be posted at pre-race check-in. Water temperature averages about 67 degrees. Wetsuits are recommended.
The Bike
A flat and fast 15K bike ride around the perimeter of Misson Bay, circling Fiesta Island and returning to Ski Beach.
The Run
A flat and fast loop 5K along the walkway near the Paradise Point Resort and the model boat pond, finishing at the transition area at Ski Beach
