About This Event
Social media is changing the way news is covered and consumed. Journalists are now expected to engage with their audience… and if you’re a PR pro, the days of simply issuing a static press release and expecting results are long gone. This panel will examine how journalism – especially coverage of technology industry news – is being transformed by social media, as even the most “traditional” news outlets infuse their coverage with social features. Our panel will approach these issues from a hands-on tactical (vs. theoretical) perspective. Takeaways will include a better understanding of how journalists are integrating social media into their stories, and how PR/marketing professionals can employ specific social media tactics to get more coverage.
