A day where every American can hate Sidney Crosby for beating our USA hockey heroes. For one day, Crosby has crushed the dreams of young American children around the United States hoping to see Team USA receive gold medals.Whether a Capitals or Penguins fan, we can all agree that we hate Sidney Crosby today.
I made this holiday for February 28, 2011, a year from today, as an anniversary to having everyone (even the penguins fans) agree that Crosby had to be the one that crushed every American Hockey Fans dreams of a possible gold medal. Yes there is a Monday February 28, 2011. While the holiday is a year away, i expect you all to continue to hate Crosby the other 364 days of the year as well.
I am not taking away from the great effort our USA team put up. Team USA gained enormous respect from hockey fans around the world for the sensational hockey they played during the Olympics, especially the impressive performances Ryan Miller showed game after game. As Americans we should continue to honor their effort, and their silver medal result.
I think we can all agree that the biggest issue is not that Canada won the gold medal, but rather that Sidney Crosby was the one who scored the game-winner. It's just a shame that the player to score the goal is someone who so poorly represents the sport of hockey. Crosby scoring the game winner was, to put it simply, a travesty.
"As a Pens fan that owns a Sidney Crosby jersey...I will hate him on this day until 2014 in Sochi when Brooks Orpik smacks him into a bench for Team USA"-Anonymous Pens Fan --> (Even Penguins fans can appreciate this event!)
