SUMMARY:VOLUNTEER IN AFRICA THIS SUMMER!
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE FORWARD TO ANYONE WHO MAY BE INTERESTED:\n
 \n
Ghana Health and Education Initiative (GHEI) is now recruiting
individuals to participate in the 2010 Serve and Learn Program
 this summer! \n
 \n
GHEI is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Humjibre\,
a rural community in Ghana\, and works to help build a
sustainable future for the people of Ghana through
community-based health and education projects. Rooted in
principles of sustainable development\, GHEI works in
collaboration with the community towards mobilization and
 empowerment. \n
 \n
GHEI Serve and Learn offers short-term volunteer programs to
those interested in international development and social justice.
It is a chance to learn about and profoundly experience
grassroots work without a several month commitment. Individuals
interested in development\, public health\, universal education
and human rights promotion can connect to one of four Serve and
 Learn Programs this summer:\n
 \n
Session 1: Prevention of Childhood Disease through Handwashing
 (June 8-24)\n
 \n
Session 2: Treatment and Prevention of Child Worms (June 26-July
 12)\n
 \n
Session 3: Ghana Read and Play: A celebration of childhood
 literacy. (July 19-August 4)\n
 \n
 Session 4: Girls&#039\; Empowerment (August 6-22)\n
 \n
