I remember when my dad turned 40. Mom rented one of those marquee signs to put in the front yard, and it said "Lordy Lordy, Alan's 40 - HONK!". Being from Indiana and living on a fairly busy road my dad was reminded over and over that day just how OLD he was.

Well, on May 8, 2010, I am going to be 40 and I don't feel old at all! My brother says it's because I act like I'm in my early 20's. My son tends to agree. My parents just think I'm crazy. Whatever the reason, I am excited to begin another decade and I would LOVE for you to celebrate with me!

The Joynt, one of my favorite spots in this fantastic city, is graciously hosting this grand party:

* There will be an open bar from 8 to 9:30
* There will be dancing
* There will be live jazz
* There will be laughter and general overall goofiness
* There will be food, and cake, and some special surprises
* There will be goody bags
* There will NOT be black balloons, roses, or decorations. This is a happy day, so no bah humbugs allowed.

Please note that from 8 to 9:30 this is a PRIVATE party, and The Joynt will be open just for us. Once the doors open to the public you can stay (and I hope you will!) and enjoy drink specials and more dancing and live music.
