There’s still a chance of rain for the next two days, but Saturday is shaping up to be a great day to come out and watch some polo. We will play five chukkars starting around 3:00pm. There’s still a chance of rain for the next two days, but Saturday is shaping up to be a great day to come out and watch some polo. We will play five chukkars starting around 3:00pm. We will have some great BBQ for sale, provided by Oldschool BBQ and Grill. (It may come out of a school bus, but that’s because he’s going to teach you a thing or two about what good food is all about.) The band will play some great music throughout the day. We’ll have UT Polo shirts, koozies, and hats for sale. And there will be a wooden horse set up so you try your hand at swinging a mallet at a ball.
It might get a little warm, so feel free to bring out some drinks, a blanket to sit up on the hill or some chairs to set up next to the field. We just want you to be comfortable and enjoy yourselves.
The Block Apartments have graciously donated a bus to transport people to the game from West Campus. It will run back and forth from The Block on 25th about every 45 minutes starting at 2:30 and ending about 8:30.
Although it is a FREE event, it’s still a fundraiser, so buy our shirts, bid on the silent auction items or just drop a buck or two in the donation jar. Every little bit helps and when you come out, you’ll see that this is a really nice facility, and it’s not cheap. So we appreciate all the help we can get to help keep the club going.
