http://tinyurl.com/httmb2b (look see this corner? be there - look for the Stunning Mrs. Caitlin Davis in some costume that looks like she put it together the day before (remember Price is Right 'Security' Costume?)
Caitlin and crew will be gathering at the corner with a sign, breakfast items and plenty of booze to get you drinking. Check in with Caitlin to get your wristband (if you've already paid) or pay (if you're lame and haven't prepaid). If you can't find Caitlin, GO TO THE W. THEN WALK ACROSS THE STREET LOOK FOR THE "HOT TUB TIME MACHINE" sign. You can do it, I promise.
The hot tub will be officially registering in the float corral, so that the float starts the race "legally" and booze free. The float will meet up with everyone outside the W to gloriously shower you with foam and get movin.
2) Payments
Thanks to everyone who has paid so far! When you arrive, Caitlin will have a list with your name on it and you will be provided with a wristband.
If you haven't prepaid already, do so here:

------------Last Weeks Update--------:
UPDATE:
Hot Tub Time Machine B2B Update: Pay us NOW via PayPal!
pay link to paypal:
http://robk.com/hottub
We're just one week away til the best day of the year!
The float is built (check the pics!), our group is registered (yeah, we even kinda listened to the rules!) and we're just sorting out logistics:
Since so many people have responded Yes on Facebook and we want to make sure to have enough booze for each and every one of you, we have set up a payment system online to commit before the day-of the event. You can pay $30 (+$1 processing) via PayPal, or $40 in cash the day of the event. Your hard-earned dolladollabills will go to a never-ending supply of beer, float construction costs, sound system, generator, registration cost for the float and more foam than a Cancun-themed sorority party. Did we mention there's a foam machine? There is. Prepare yourself.
To register NOW for the low, low price of $31, go to
http://robk.com/hottub
Be sure to add your name, or the names of anyone else you are purchasing for, in the "special instructions to seller" portion.
FAQ:
Where are we meeting?
TBD - but somewhere downtown - stay tuned - I'll let you know exactly where next week.
So, our float is registered, but do I need to register?
Technically yes, we registered the float and a have a number of bracelets, but depending how many show up, maybe not enough for everyone. That being said, I've never registered for a B2B since high school. Your $30 goes to float construction costs, the foam machine and the beer. Lots and lots of beer.
Should I run it?
Not even going to entertain this question. Have fun being lame.
-----------Original Invite----------:
Friends, Romans, She-Pains
The BEST day of year is almost upon us. Bay to Breakers. Yes, one of the only days of the year that allows us to wander the streets of San Francisco with a beer dispensing float, and the only one in which we blend right in.
If you saw last year's "I'm on a Boat" float - you know we've set the bar high.
This years theme: HOT TUB TIME MACHINE!
"what is that?" a hilarious movie that you should go see (Doempke note: just buy a ticket to Bounty Hunter, thx)
The movie is about traveling back in time through a hot tub (obvi, how else would you travel through time?!?) to a 1986 party out of a ski movie (Hot Dog / Better off Dead) style.
So in that spirit - put on your head band, your neon colors, and get ready, cause we're gonna have a sweet FOAM PARTY hot tub rolling through the streets of San Francisco.
Things I promise:
* An awesome "hot tub" float that spews (heh, you said spew) foam bubbles, setting the stage for an epic foam party that would make cancun jealous
* Music bumping for miles
* Wheels that won't break half way through the race
* Booze
* Breakfast
Things you bring:
* You in Costume
* Fun
* $30 in cash - if you remember last year, we had bracelets for everyone in our group. Pay up, and you're part of the crew. This helps make sure that no one is swooping in on your booze that you paid for, it's just for the folks who've contributed. Like all you lovely people.
If you don't know what Bay to Breakers is, well I guess we haven't known you for more than a year, or you're brand new to San Francisco. Or you're lame. Really, really lame.
What it is:
A 7 mile real street race across SF. Somewhere after the Kenyans, we will be in costume with a foam party drinking on probably the most tolerant day for public drunkenness you'll ever see. In fact, ESPN listed the day as one of the 100 things a sports fan must see. Let that sink in. A SPORTS fan. This day takes drinking so seriously, it is considered a sport. Maybe not basketball level, but definitely above Bowling, Yachting, Curling, and Jai alai. Spend a few minutes with a "safe search off" google images search and you'll understand. The day rules. Trust me.
Costume Ideas:
* Hot tub attire
* 80's Ski Bunny
* Poison Groupie
* Bret Michaels
* A one Armed Crispin Glover
* Anything from the movies Hot Dog or Better Off Dead
* Naked
I'll keep details flowing as they come (location, etc.) And if anyone wants to help contribute to the logistical challenge (float building, etc) - lemme know.
