We are happy to announce that we will be returning to the Detroit Public Library for April.
David Murray, Co-Chair for FutureMidwest 2010, Social Web Communications and Online Community professional, will be leading a discussion on community building and what that means for our area.
The #DetChevySXSW project proved our community is just as strong if not stronger than any major city. So moving forward, what can we be doing to build on that success? How can we connect the dots and rebuild Metro Detroit both online and off?
The DPL will be combining their April Tweetup with our event, so this promises to be a great conversation.
We will be meeting at Old Fine Arts Room. Parking for the event will be available in the staff lot. The entrance is through Putnam St., on the South side of the building. This is the parking lot across from the large parking structure.
And like last month, we'll be having an informal #beerup at Motor City Brew Company afterward. Good beer and GREAT pizzas.
So bring your discussions hats and get ready to kick off FutureMidwest Week. We look forward to seeing you there!
